Request for delaying stable release: Multi-currency code still not mature enough

I thought to summarize here the problems we have right now;

Major bugs;
101738 - OFX import hangs 
101705 - Crash following OFX import
101849 - Gnucash 1.7.6 guile crash on close
100701 - The formulacell doesn't record change on Enter while entering
transaction
99419 - Gnucash freezes when entering Japanese and English text
102057 - Freeze when entering accentuated characters in register
102157 - Multi-Currency: "Edit exchange rate" wrongly switches the rates
102161 - Multi-Currency: Exchange rate in Multi-split view not
changeable
102163 -Multi-Currency: bad_numeric when pressing Enter in Edit Exchange
Rate dialog
92875 - Fatal crash on "save"
99162 - Segfault in transaction matcher

Non-Major, but probably should be fixed bugs;
102023 - New account setup allows wrong types to use commodity
95602 - Update Tip of the Day information for 1.8
99456 - Create What's new for 1.8
85580 - Change Tutorial docs to reflect new menu configuration
101707 - "Export accounts" feature is broken
84707 - right-side html data lost in printing
93361 - SX transaction make 1969 date, parser fails
101000 - Search for 'value' gives unexpected results
101452 -"Unpost" button never active on invoice dialog
88505 - date dialog box only displays once
91661 - Balance Sheet does not balance
99285 - gnucash fault in entering values

Added to these list of bugs, we are currently waiting on a new g-wrap
release (1.3.5) on jan 8th. _If_ you do decide you want to delay the
release, I've drawn up a possible new timetable to give us another month
to fix the remaining problems.

Jan 5th - Release 1.7.7
Jan 19th - Release 1.7.8
Feb 2nd - Release 1.8.0
