This is Jon's statement about Guppi future. If we can switch to that new guppi 
version, the font problems in the charts (as mentioned by e.g. Herbert Thoma 
earlier today) should go away.

The port is underway, in CVS module libguppi.  I'm aiming to have
something working by the end of this month.  And yes, it will be
pangoified so that non-ASCII characters should no longer be a problem.
