That feature is already implemented in the experimental 1.7 series and will 
appear in the next stable release cycle, 1.8. Since that feature required a 
major rework of the account data structure, it will most probably not be 
ported back to the stable 1.6 series.

Have you tried choosing the "price database" as price source in the options 
dialog? The price source can either be the historic transactions or the ones 
recorded in the price editor but not both, at the moment.
