Posting to gnucash-devel instead of gnucash-user would be a start ... 

I myself, author of the current postgres backend, am not sure I understand
why the backend needs to be re-written.  It *does* have some minor problems, 
but I didn't think these were serious.

It does, however, need to be extended to support business objects.
