problems compiling gnucash (gnucash-gnome2-dev branch)

You do realize that the gnome2 branch is not complete, and is really
for hard-core developers at this point (because it doesn't work, yet).

I'm not a debian person, so I don't know whether SID is currently
testing or unstable, but one thing is for certain: if you compile with
both guile-1.4 and guile-1.6 you _WILL_ have problems.

Having said all that, feel free to send corrective patches to
gnucash-patches.
