Getting gnucash 1.7.5 running

Are you sure you downloaded RPMS for RH8 and not RPMs for RH7.3?  The
guile version matters; the RH7.3 RPMS are built with 1.3.4, but RH8
uses guile-1.4, which would require a rebuild of both g-wrap and
gnucash.
