Problem building 1.7.6 from source RPM on RedHat 8.0 (was: GnuCash 1.7.5 never displays)

Thanks for the hint. I will try to put 1.7.6 back in on a spare RH8.0 using
the RPM to check. Any news on g-wrap 1.3.4 though? Has the rpm (or even the
tar ball) been fixed so it works 'out of the box'?

I couldn't find the RH8 rpm on gnucash.org either.  But you can find
gnucash-1.7.6-1-RH8.i386.rpm here (and I can attest that it works well):
