gnucash 1.7.8 and ofx still doesn't work

make uninstall worked OK for me. I checked that it had cleaned up
sufficiently.

However, I agree, you need to reconfigure and rebuild libofx. I'd also
recommend a rebuild of gnucash, although Benoit reckons that a make
install in src/import-export/ofx is enough....
