Slow opening due to blocknote page build

This is somewhat related to #116565 -- reports should be generated in
the background but you should still be allowed to work while they are
being generated.  Similarly, it should work on your "front page" first
and then work on the others.

Feel free to file another report if 116565 is not sufficient to meet
your needs.  Also feel free to add a comment to 116565 if it is
sufficient.
