Documentation? This caught me by surprise and I spent a little time (with
Derek in this thread) investigating when that time could have been useful on
something else. I was trucking along fine until one cvs update and suddenly I
had no messages. (I knew I hadn't fixed all the bugs, so it was disconcerting
to see a lack of errors!)

Then reset the default everytime prior to running makepatch? It does make the
final 'make' of each test longer, changing gnc-trace.c every time. Now that I
know where to FIND the error output, I may just leave it at that.
