build system proposals for gnome2-branch

Hi all,

the build system proposals of 2005-07-20 somehow got lost. So here's an 
update. I've put together a proposal of what can be changed in the 
gnome2-branch.  I'd suggest

- removal of acinclude.m4 -- it contains heaps of very old, legacy macros

- removal of ltmain.sh -- it should be created/installed by running libtoolize

- adding 3-4 unavoidable legacy macros into file macros/legacy_macros.m4 
(attached)

- changing of macros/autogen.sh, diff attached. 

The changes to autogen.sh basically also call libtoolize which was commented 
out right now because we shipped out own libtool. 

If people agree, I apply this to gnucash-gnome2-dev during the next days.

PS: I would still propose to have a gnucash-1.8.12 release with the stable 
branch anytime soon. Thanks.
