aqbanking and g2

Is --with-aqbanking-dir=/opt supposed to work with g2 yet? I've tried  
it with and without --enable-hcbi, and none of the aqbanking related  
directory location variables reported in config.log ever show up  
containing anything other than a null string.

I have aqbanking 1.8.0.7cvs running. And /opt/bin/aqbanking-config  
responds with reasonable values.
