Well, QSF requiring G2 doesn't mean the first G2 release requires QSF.

Wait a sec.  You mean GC G2 release has to work both ways!?  with
external QOF on Debian and with internal QOF on other dist?  If so,
then working with external QOF certainly shouldn't hold up G2.
