Poor Chris... should I send new ibuprofen supply? Or rather a new laptop?

Absolutely. Well, your latest changes in 13863 have fixed my recent problems. 
So far I don't see any problems any more -- well done! Way to go!

In other news, indeed there are no longer any Orphan-NNN splits created on 
each opening of a file :-)))))) Thanks a lot!
