Web interface for gnuCash

I've done a quick search on the mailing lists and only found two 
references to a web front end from july 05. Is there any work on this - 
I'd be interested to help.
I should add I haven't yet used gnucash but I am an experienced ASP.NET 
programmer and I was about to start on a web based accounting package 
when someone pointed me at gnucash- which I'll get running later I hope.
