I will try to summarize some postings first:

Thread "Missing icons", starting with
http://lists.gnucash.org/pipermail/gnucash-devel/2005-December/015109.html

Thread "Logo images", starting with
http://lists.gnucash.org/pipermail/gnucash-devel/2006-January/015924.html

Thread "Icons", starting with... above message ;-)

Oh, finally

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=327647
(New icons needed for 2.0)

And I expect more to come as soon as we release 1.9.0.

After my initial request (I have not searched the archives before
that too throroughly) I asked Jakub Steiner (jimmac), who made the
non-stock icons currently in use, whether he would like to make some
more for us. Unfortunately he is pretty involved in other projects,
just look at

http://jimmac.musichall.cz/

so he suggested to ask the guys at the tango-project for help. In
IRC they told me to do some screenshots, describe what happens where
and when, and ask then at

http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/tango-artists

Well, somehow I forgot about the icons then. So I ask you how to
proceed. Maybe Andrew is willing to continue improving the icon set,
but the tango artists also offered to help with usability and what
else developers might not think of ;-) Anyone willing to do the
communication work or do we want to hope for volunteers (which might
just as well be a good solution)?

Nontheless, such little things as pixmaps will probably not hurt the
mailing list, and definitely not above bug report.

Any comments?

I just recognized that first answers come in, so I just press
"Submit" for now.
