failing configure..

I was supposed to do that, but the snow has been pouring down here the
last 2 days (80 cm in 48 hours) wich resulted in broken phone lines &
power supply to the houses :-), so i did an install from a cd-rom, and
had to add the packages after..

Ubuntu is a Debian system. I'm not sure, and cant find it, but
something is going round in my mind about a 1.9.6-3 package.. There
was a package.. maby it was guile that needed 1 version higher than
what was supplyed with ubuntu.. Well see if someone else reply to
this. I think it was Neil W., wich helped me earlyer with some g-wrap
guile problems.

What is this guile / g-wrap packages (what they are used for) It
look's like these often gives some problems..

But Thanks for the reply, I'll just wait for some more.
