Any pending string changes? (String Thaw)

Hi, all.

Now that 2.0.1 is released (nice work, all!), I propose a string
thaw for a week.  If there are any pending string changes for 2.0
please get them in in the next week for backport to the 2.0 branch.  I
would propose that strings be frozen again as of, say, August 6th.
