SVN compile error

Except in this case they are neither spurious NOR extra..  Who are YOU
to decide they are?  I'll also note that the libtool team upstream
disagrees with your assessment, which is why they've continued to refuse
to accept that patch from you.  (You == Debian, not you specifically, TB).
