Is GConf running on windows?

Dear Gnumeric developers, are you using GConf for your configuration
data? If yes, do you have gconfd-2.exe actually up and running on
Windows? This simply doesn't work for me -- the daemon terminates after
a few seconds of running, and the client then will (rightfully) say
Adding client to server's list failed, CORBA error:
IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0
Any ideas how we can use GConf on windows/mingw32?
