I don't know why spreading the information out more is going to help.

Please follow the mailing list and
<http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Release_Schedule>.  There is an RSS feed
of changes in the wiki, though I don't think you can target that page
alone.  Also, coordination in IRC is a good idea.
