ugly workaround: suse 10.2 has only SWIG 1.3.29 (was: weird SWIG syntax error with "inline" keyword)

'make maintainer-clean' has successfully removed prior swig-generated  
files for me when I change swig versions (without having to do a clean  
checkout).
