I'm not sure what you're seeing, but I see:
( "Swiss Franc" "franc" "centime" "ISO4217" "CHF" "756" 100 100 )
This implies it's using CHF. This is in both trunk and 2.2.
I cannot find the string "sfr" anywhere in the configuration, so
I have no idea where you're getting it from.
