I updated my docs trunk and see in its README file:

"The problems with pdf apply equally to dvi AND ps output. Each gives a
long error output ending with: ! Emergency stop."

Does that mean no one has been able to produce pdf from the trunk?

I need to install pdfjadetex to continue, but I will delay that pain
until I get some encouragement.
