Hi All,

Sorry for my confusing post.

I am attempting to compile gnucash under Windows XP.

>From Windows Explorer I deleted C:\Soft.

I downloaded msys-1.0.10.exe into Z:\GNUCash_Downloads ( NAS drive)

I installed msys-1.0.10 into C:\Soft\msys with no post install.

I downloaded wget-1.9.1-mingwPORT.tar into Z:\GNUCash_Downloads

I installed QT 4,2,3

I started the MSYS command line shell and then exited.

I did a svn update of http://svn.gnucash.org/gnucash/trunk/packaging/win32
into c:\Soft\msys\home\gnucash\packaging.

I started the MSYS command line shell

GNUCash at ELSHADAI ~/Packaging
$ less custom.sh
---->

GLOBAL_DIR=C:\\soft\\msys
DOWNLOAD_DIR=/Z/GNUCash_Downloads
AQBANKING_WITH_QT=yes
# set -x
QTDIR=/c/QT/4.2.3

GNUCash at ELSHADAI ~
$ cd Packaging

GNUCash at ELSHADAI ~/Packaging
$ install.sh

configure: error: perl is not found

End of msys command shell output.

Can install.sh be modified to remove this error?

Can active perl be installed manually so that the install.sh script runs
without errors?

If so, how?

Yours Sincerely Stephen Grant Brown.
