I've tested slib-3b2 on windows, and this gives the same error. In Mike 
Alexander's original comment to the patch he provided, he also claimed "@" is 
a guile function. I wonder whether it was added into guile at some higher 
version, like, guile-1.8.x?

In any case, I've reverted r18352 because of this issues for now, and I hope 
Mike can provide a different patch for the original problem
