Status on work toward a patch

Per Derek's request for a weekly status report on documentation update efforts:

The patch has now been restructured according to the suggestions I received from Geert.

That means the following are still to do:
1.  validate xml on the new patch structure
2.  do a review of changes from 2.0.0 to current as shown by logs for installed code changes and also installed document changes
3.  submit my list of identified changes to developers and see if the list is considered complete
4.  create a bugzilla patch submitting my work for formal review as a patch
