Next Release

Good idea! I think we should try to go for a release this week, as we already 
collected a nice bunch of bugfixes in the 2.4 branch.

Does r20801 (2.4-branch) build on Mac OSX? I can go ahead and tag that rev by, 
say, next wednesday so that we have a release ready by the end of the week.
