My guess: Some of your client software did something unexpected, which
triggered the rules on the server that locked out your IP. Trying to reconnect
in this case only makes things worse. Derek will speak up soon and whitelist
your IP again.
For example, cancelling a SVN+SSH connection will almost surely cause this
lock-out. If you do not try to reconnect, the lock-out times out within 1-2
hours, but if I try again immediately, the timeout takes much longer.
Whatever. Derek's going to fix this. Don't hesitate to send email to him
directly if this happens again.
