> Geert probably has autocrlf=input in his ~/.gitconfig, and you should, too. See https://help.github.com/articles/dealing-with-line-endings#platform-all .

Actually I don't:
$ cat .gitconfig
[user]
         name = Geert Janssens
         email = janssens-geert at telenet.be
[push]
         default = current

This has been my config for quite some time. Weird.
