Hi Didier,
Please remember to reply to the list instead of the respondents directly. You can do this by
using the "Reply to list" or "Reply to all" features of your e-mail program.
Writing the documentation and making it available on different platforms are two very different
things.
Luckily you only have to worry about the first part. When you contribute a French translation, it
will be added to the source repository for our documentation.
>From there it will be picked up by distribution maintainers to package it for their distribution.
The gnucash developers additionally do this:
- the documentation will be converted into html format and be made available online via the
gnucash website
- the same documentation is converted into various e-book formats (pdf, epub, mobi) for
download from the gnucash website
- when we release a new version of gnucash, we build windows and os x packages. These will
include a copy of the documentation in all languages it is available in.
So... if you provide the translation it will end up in many places, including Windows and OS X :)
