Here some more information:

it was the same to get GnuCash not starting by icon:

open some of the accounts but make no changes in it, close it and close
GnuCash again.

After this I was able to open it using the command line, but did same
than before and close GnuCash again.

I got this on command line:

"~> gnucash --debug
Found Finance::Quote version 1.18
~> gnucash --debug
Found Finance::Quote version 1.18
~> gnucash
gnucash: ../nptl/pthread_mutex_lock.c:80: __pthread_mutex_cond_lock:
Zusicherung »mutex->__data.__owner == 0« nicht erfüllt.
Abgebrochen
~> gnucash --debug
gnucash: ../nptl/pthread_mutex_lock.c:80: __pthread_mutex_cond_lock:
Zusicherung »mutex->__data.__owner == 0« nicht erfüllt.
Abgebrochen
"
first two starts work, after that it doesn't work and gnucash.trace is:
"
* 20:29:53  INFO <gnc.gui> [main] System locale returned de_DE.UTF-8
* 20:29:53 INFO <gnc.gui> [main] Effective locale set to de_DE.UTF-8.
* 20:29:53  INFO <gnc.engine> [gnc_hook_lookup] no hook lists
"

I'm sorry that's not very much

And now the first two starts with --nofile does not work also, but than
suddenly it started.

command line:
"
~> gnucash --nofile
gnucash: ../nptl/pthread_mutex_lock.c:80: __pthread_mutex_cond_lock:
Zusicherung »mutex->__data.__owner == 0« nicht erfüllt.
Abgebrochen
~> gnucash --nofile
gnucash: ../nptl/pthread_mutex_lock.c:80: __pthread_mutex_cond_lock:
Zusicherung »mutex->__data.__owner == 0« nicht erfüllt.
Abgebrochen
~> gnucash
gnucash: ../nptl/pthread_mutex_lock.c:80: __pthread_mutex_cond_lock:
Zusicherung »mutex->__data.__owner == 0« nicht erfüllt.
Abgebrochen
~> gnucash --nofile
Found Finance::Quote version 1.18
"

for me it is a miracle. :-)
