Free BackupGnuCash tool

Hi,

I've created an application for easily creating offsite (Dropbox/Google
Drive/MS OneDrive etc) encrypted backups of the data files used by GnuCash.

Free software 7-Zip is used to perform the encryption.

This should work with Gnu/Linux and Windows.

It may also work with Mac OS/X but I cannot test this. I'd appreciate it if
some-one could test and let me know.

Instructions:

https://github.com/goodvibes2/BackupGnuCashWin/blob/master/src/backupgnucash
/README.md

I have added it to the GnuCash Published Tools Wiki:

http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Published_tools

This application is written in Java version 8 using JavaFX (or openjfx) for
the graphical user interface.

Java versions before 8 cannot be used with this application as they do not
support JavaFX.

(I did see just night that Java7, update 6 can be used with JavaFX, but I
have not tested this)

I hope you find BackupGnuCash useful, and it encourages you to make regular
backups to help protect you from data loss.

All hardware fails eventually and no person is perfect.

I wrote this because I needed something nicer than a script, and as a way to
teach myself Java.

Gentle constructive criticism is welcome.

Regards,

Chris Good
