That's correct.  What I (and presumably others) will want to be able
to do, is have the correct GST calculated when a transaction is made,
and placed in that GST account.  Some types of transactions are
GST-free, and in some jurisdictions some transactions attract a
concessional rate.  Next, I'd like to be able to automatically 
generate tax reports from that.  Obviously, they're going to be
jurisdiction-specific.
