Window auto-sizing, default date ranges

I don't think this has been changed yet.  What we could conceivably do
is save the register column withds as an option.  Guys, is this feasible?

We haven't yet provided the ability to do this from the GUI (I'm aware
it's a problem, it's on the TODO list for me).  However, if it's
really annoying you and you know a bit of scheme, you could modify the
report code itself.  Yes, this is a pain, but if you view a lot of
reports and you want the default to be something else it might be
worth it.
