I strongly vote for a complete closing of books and re-opening a new book. 
DEM and EUR have a fixed exchange rate, but as a currency of an account 
they are not the same. (Think of the rounding errors.) Joerg, you might 
remember your bank asking you whether you want to switch your accounts 
from DEM to EUR earlier than Jan 2002 or not. So even the banks say that 
is *does* matter whether your account is in EUR or in DEM.

However, since all users from Euroland will have that problem by Jan 2002, 
we might end up providing a Wizard or something like that which guides you 
through the necessary steps. Stay tuned...
