Sorry about that, I did a respond to all in my mailer, but didn't pay any=

attention to who came up in the "To:" and "Cc:" fields, hopefully I got t=
hat=20
corrected this time around:-)

When I checked out the contents of the .a file, it had a pointer that poi=
nted=20
to the actual library files located in /usr/local/lib, I tried one time=20
before to put those files in /lib and removed the version 6 files, but th=
ey=20
looked for the libraries under /usr/local/lib, so I figured it would be o=
k to=20
move the 6.a file and replace it with the 9.a file which pointed to the=20
correct libraries. So for all intents and purposes, libguile.6, tho it i=
s=20
still located under /lib, is not being accessed, instead libguile.9 is be=
ing=20
accessed under /usr/local/lib (I suppose I could just edit the 9.a file a=
nd=20
move everything over to /lib?).

You're probably right, nope, I just went and looked, everything to do wit=
h=20
libguile is located under /usr/local/include, whereas libguile6 is locate=
d=20
under /usr/include, hmm, I wonder, what would happen if I did a little=20
shifting around there? During the compile of gnucash, most of what I saw=
=20
being included was from /usr/include, I don't remember seeing anything co=
ming=20
from /usr/local/include! I guess this is one of the things you gotta wat=
ch=20
for when you deal with RPM's?
Thanx Loads
