On-line Banking Download Problem

All,

I'm having a problem downloading my on-line banking transactions with Libranet Linux 1.8.2 (www.libranet.com) which is based on Debian Potato. I can download these transactions easy enough with my Windows computer, save them to disk and then import them into Libranet Linux GNUcash via the diskette - so I know that the problem is not with the bank's files. However, why will Libranet not download them with Netscape 4.76 (128-bit version) directly?

When I attempt to download the .qif files, instead of a download dialog window, I get a window displaying some of the transactions headed /tmp/MO3...qif with a 'stderr' message at the bottom. Also, I vaguely remember seeing some MIME error messages as well.

Last year, I was able to download these files using Linux-Mandrake 7.1 without any problem.

My bank has these download options:

Quicken 99/2000 (.qfx format that doesn't work with GNUcash)
  Money 99/2000
Other (.qif format that I use)

Any help greatly appreciated.

Regards,
