Unfortunately, 'save early, save often' still applies.

In principle, yes, that's why the log file was created in the first
place. In practice, no one has ever written the tool to do this.  
You wouldn't happen to have the urge to code ....  ?

(I think Bill will want to lynch me, but...) maybe we should 
change the log file format to QIF?  Its an idea ...
