Help starting gnucash 1.6

I am running Mandrake 8.0.  I have installed gnucash 1.6 and all the required 
files.  When I go to run gnucash I get the following error message:

[me@localhost me]$ gnucash
ERROR: In procedure dynamic-link:
ERROR: file not found
[me@localhost me]$

I have no clue why I get this error nor how to get pasted it.  If their is 
someone out there that can help me, please e-mail me directly.
