Mandrake 7.2 and Gnucash 1.6

Has anyone suceesfully gotten 1.6 running on Mandrake 7.2?

Will there be an RPM coming?

I'm way over my head when it comes to compiling the source.  I have
tried but configure gives a whole bunch of errors and dies.  Then again,
I've never successfully compiled anything, so that tells you my level of
expertise.
