gnucash 1.6.x on Solaris 7/8

Got it. Seems like it's an issue with the hardware and the way GTK handles 8
planes color maps. It seems like it simply strips away some of the colors but
it was never an issue before. With Gnucash, the checkmark ended up gone.

I ran the same code on a newer Ultra with a Creator2D card (depth 24 planes)
and I get tones more colors in my Gnucash window including... you guessed it:
the darn checkmarks.

Could be worth a mention somewhere since A LOT of the Sun hardware has 8 bit
color cards.

Well, at least it got me to recompile all the newer Gnome/GTK packages... :-)
