Hello there, I'm new to both double entry accounting and gnucash but think that it could be very helpful in helping my run my little business ...
I have read in the documentation about accounts recievable and feel that I need this type of account in order to keep track of what's owed to me and although as yet there isn't a specific gnucash account type for it yet would there be any good reason for not just using a Bank type for it in the meantime, assuming that I would be able to update the account type when the functionality appears in a future version?
I am using gnucash 1.4 because installation was as difficult as typing apt-get install gnucash. Are there big steps involved in updating to 1.6 on a Debian system?
Thanks for your time,
James Fenn
