gnucash runtime error

Hello,

I have successfully installed gnucash 1.6.2 (rpm) on my system =22Mandrake=
 8.0=22 but have had the following problem installing it on a friend's sys=
tem (Mandrake 8.0 also):

There was one warning during the installation:
=5Broot=40localhost mandrake-8.x=5D=23 rpm -i umb-scheme-3.2-17mdk.i586.rp=
m
conflicts with file from package umb-scheme-3.2-16mdk
So I forced the install:
=5Broot=40localhost mandrake-8.x=5D=23 rpm -i --force umb-scheme-3.2-17mdk=
.i586.rpm
got a new warning but the package =5Fseemed=5F to be installed properly:
install-info: avertissement: aucune entr=E9e r=E9pertoire Info dans =AB/us=
r/share/info/umb-scheme.info.bz2=BB

And then I got the following runtime error:
=5Broot=40localhost mandrake-8.x=5D=23 gnucash
ERROR: In procedure scm-error in expression (scm-error (quote misc-error) =
=23f ...):
ERROR: ;required feature not supported:  printf

Would someone have an idea as to what the problem is ?
