I do not believe so. I use GNOME/Enlightenment and the X Window System.

It does remember the size of the main window, the one I get when I start
GnuCash. What it does not remember is the sizes of the other, or the
widths of the columns. The window manager probably cannot remember that
stuff; the program must do it, and it does not. I do not think this is a
bug, but just something not implemented.
