GnuCash 1.6.1 and Suse 7.2

You could try 

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/gnome/lib gnucash

and maybe that works. Other than that, I'm also running Suse 7.2 but I got my 
rpm from 
http://www.suse.de/en/support/download/GNOMES/i386/update_for_7_2/extra.html
However, the rpm there is more up to date than the one on ftp.gnucash.org as 
it requires some more package updates from the very same place. Namely: 
Guppi, gtkhtml, and from  
http://www.suse.de/en/support/download/GNOMES/i386/update_for_7_2/base.html : 
gal (which you might need to install by 'rpm -i --force' instead of 'rpm -U' 
in order not to break other library dependencies), gnome-print (you HAVE to 
run SuSEconfig after updating this one). I think that's all :-\
