GnuCash 1.6.1 and Suse 7.2

I installed GnuCash 1.6.1 from rpm found on ftp.gnucash.org. Basic system is 
Suse 7.2 professional. All libraries are in place, rpm installation passes 
without any error message. but when I start gnucash, it exits with an error 
message:
/usr/bin/gnucash: error while loading shared libraries: libgal.so.4: cannot 
load shared object file: No such file or directory

But libgal.so.4 is already in /opt/gnome/lib/ and is a symlink to 
libgal.so.4.0.0 in the same directory.

The gnucash binary is in /usr/bin/ installed.
What's wrong? In what place is gnucash expecting this lib on startup?
Can anyone give me a help?
