We're dealing with *Mutual Funds*, not stocks.  I get very odd numbers
of shares, but I have always assumed a different rule, namely that the
amount I paid is exactly correct and that the number of shared I
purchased is exactly correct.  The price is the ratio and is reported
rounded to some nice number for reporting.
