Will GnuCash ever work for me?

Sometimes the gnucash package gets out of sync with the libgal and libgtkhtml packages. These two packages have been changing quite often. If you send a polite e-mail to debian's gnucash package maintainer I'm sure he will recompile it so it works with the new dependencies.
Or you could `apt-get source gnucash` and run 'deb-make' after installing libgal11 and libgtkhtml15. I had to do this once and it worked without a problem.
