Compiling on slackware 8.0 (current) problem with printf function

I just upgraded 8.0 to current and had to recompile gnucash-1.6.5.  This
is the error I get:

I have guile version 1.5.6.  I compiled without a problem on guile-1.4. 
Any ideas?  I've tried gnucash 1.6.5 and 1.6.6 and get the same error. 
It's killing me.  I need to get this runnig asap!
